Just got back from Liverpool, UNBELIEVABLE city. So so different from what I expected! I thought it would be totally industrial and depressing, somewhere between Prague panelaky and abandoned Detroit skyscrapers. NOT AT ALL! Its beautiful and quaint, closer to Dublin than Michigan. Highlights: Concert Square with TLW peeps, Mathew Street/ Beatles worship, the Liverpool Wheel/ Albert Dock, and Olive Press with Tom. Wonderful, perfect trip.

Next up: quilting classes? I'm checking out Purl Soho, its looking pretty good. I think I'm ready to explore my Amish side, but I'll probably need a buddy. I can be shy about this sort of thing.

I've put a lot of my work up, especially some recent series.

Went to comic con a few weeks ago at the Javits, it was pretty cool. Lots of artists, both lame and talented. My mother and I discovered a Vietnamese artist, GB Tran, whose work is pretty incredible. I bought a print and a little collection of drawings. His colors really stood out, and he did a great job with packaging. He made a beautiful little portfolio that had sketches of nudes/his travels. He used vellum to package it, and vellum is always a favorite of mine. So ethereal somehow. He also has a blog called Vietnamerica, check it.

I'm also scouting for a space to have a show, looking for local cafes, that sort of thing. Very casual.

I think I might sublet my apartment in Manhattan for the summer and stay on the Rockaways. Good plan? I haven't decided yet.

Tough day at work. Nervous about summer school. Is there still time to back out? Not sure. Maybe camp is a possibility. We'll see.

Alexa and Corey come tomorrow, whoot whoot! Psyched to host them in my teensy apartment, haha.

I went to a lovely wedding in London, very English. All things bright and beautifuuuuuul...Brits love that song. I can't believe Jessie is married. I slept at my parents house the other night because I was too scared to go home after seeing a trailer for the human centipede. I'm nowhere near mature enough to have a husband. Going to London in ONE WEEK for Jessie's wedding. So psyched, I haven't been since I was about 16, adn I actually really hated it then...

But I'm sure I'll love it now. Amateur Night at the Apollo tonight, hope its great, will post more about it laterrrr.
